A twenty-two year coaching veteran, Barry S. Norton is entering his twelfth year as Head Football Coach and Athletic Director of Texas High School. The Tigers have been ranked in the top 25 of the state the past eleven out of twelve years. Also, within those twelve years the Tigers have won a State Championship title, seven District Championships and have advanced deep into the playoffs several years. Coach Norton has accumulated an overall record of 102-29-1. He has been fortunate during his years at Texas High to have coached two players who went on to play in the NFL - former University of Texas standouts Nathan Vasher and Nathan Jones. Coach Norton has also coached over 50 players who have signed scholarships to further their career at the collegiate level.
