The Student Intervention Process is a collaborative team effort designed to ensure that students with specific needs will receive support in the general education classroom.  The purpose of the Student Intervention Process is to explore reasons why a student is experiencing difficulty in academic, behavioral, social, emotional, or communication skills and then to develop an intervention plan of strategies for success.

The  intervention plan is implemented over the course of 36 school days.  This process is carefully monitored through a documentation process by the teacher(s) and campus administrator. Following this initial intervention phase, the student intervention team reviews the student’s response to the strategies and determines if further support services are necessary.  Such supports may include but are not limited to additional campus programs and/or a referral for dyslexia, 504, or special education.
