Texarkana Public Schools Foundation
The mission of the Texarkana Public Schools Foundation is to enrich and maximize the educational opportunities for students and staff in Texarkana Independent School District through funding that is not available from local, state or federal resources.
The Foundation solicits, manages and distributes supplemental funds for educational purposes in program areas that may not be funded by the District. Funding is supplemental and does not replace or alter use of tax-based revenue. Donations are received from individuals, corporations and other foundations to fund educational programs and projects that are in alignment with the school district’s strategic plan.
Our efforts support the goals of:
- Providing Teacher Grants for innovate efforts and exemplary teaching
- Funding Tiger Scholarships to graduating seniors to supplement the educational expenses of student at the college of their choice
- Developing signature projects that enhance the educational opportunities for students in and out of the classroom.
The Texarkana Public Schools Foundation accepts unrestricted gifts as well as those intended to create a permanent endowment. The endowment ensures the perpetuity of the Foundation and provides a secure source of funds for education. Donors may support the Foundation through cash, annual pledges, in-kind gifts and in the following ways:
