| Mission |
| The Mission of the Texarkana Public Schools Foundation is to request, receive, maintain and use funds, which are not available
from federal, state and local public sources, to create another avenue for enhancing and augmenting educational opportunities for the
students and staff in Texarkana ISD. |

| History |
In 2003 a group of concerned citizens, dedicated to enhancing the learning environment for the students and faculty of TISD came
together to build a foundation. Every builder knows that lasting construction must be built upon solid support. No matter how unique,
attractive, or useful an unsupported structure may be, it will soon crash under its own weight. The dream of the TPSF is that each
child has the tools necessary to succeed.
The Texarkana Public Schools Foundations, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization. It is governed by a 22 member Board, who
represent a cross section of the community served by the Texarkana Independent School District (TISD), but all voting members are
independent of TISD. District administrators serve as ex-officio Board members.

Help TISD recruit, retain, and recognize teachers and staff.
Build community awareness of the Texarkana Public Schools Foundation.
