    In 2003 a group of concerned citizens, dedicated to enhancing the learning environment for the students and faculty of TISD came together to build a foundation.

    The Texarkana Public Schools Foundations, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization. A 25 member Board, who represent a cross section of the community served by the Texarkana Independent School District, governs it. All voting members are independent of TISD. District administrators serve as ex-officio Board members.

     
  • Recognize TISD students and positively reinforce their educational activities.
  • Provide teacher grants for innovative efforts and exemplary teaching.
  • Help TISD recruit, retain, and recognize teachers and staff.
  • Build community awareness of the Texarkana Public Schools Foundation.
    • You can demonstrate your desire to turn dreams into reality by using the Foundation as a means of providing the seeds for enhancing excellence in our educational community. Your support may come from tax-deductible contributions of cash, annual pledges, memorial gifts, stocks, planned giving or gifts of in-kind. Click here for a form.
