Texarkana ISD operates seven elementary schools, serving grades Pre-K to 5th grade, that then feed into
one central middle school and one central high school.
Elementary students are assigned to one of
seven schools based on their neighborhood of residence. With schools located throughout the city, our
youngest students begin school in familiar surroundings with familiar friends and faces.
Texas Middle
School, opened in fall 2002, is an exciting, new state-of-the-art school serving all of the District’s sixth
through eighth grade students. Students are offered a wide variety of educational opportunities and
encouraged to explore their interests in the areas of fine arts, technology, and athletics.
Texas
High School, serving ninth through twelfth grades, has an outstanding reputation for its traditions of
excellence in academic and athletic programs.
TISD also operates an academic alternative high school,
OPTIONS, and a disciplinary alternative school, DAEP.
TISD offers daycare services after
