  Operating safe, healthy, and disciplined school environments conducive to learning is a primary TISD district goal. Safe and secure schools are a priority to the Board of Trustees, Central Administration, Campus Administration, Classroom Teachers, and all TISD Support Personnel. The District has established the TISD Police Department to assist in maintaining safe and secure schools.

Regular Campus Fire and Tornado Drills
Parents should become familiar with the Student Handbook and Code of Conduct for their child’s school, paying particular attention to safety and security concerns. Questions concerning school safety should be directed to the school principal or the Assistant Superintendent for Campus Operations at 794-3651.

Inclement Weather Procedures |
| Notice of changes in regular school days and regular school hours brought about by emergency situations such as severe weather will be released from the Office of the Superintendent at the earliest possible time to the local newspaper, radio, and television stations. |
