IMPORTANT NEWS FOR FLEX PARTICIPANTS: On September 9, the IRS and Treasury Department announced an increase in the mileage rates (from $.15 to $.22 per mile) for computing deductible medical or moving expenses for the last four months of 2005. The new rate is applicable for any mileage incurred 9/1/05 to 12/31/05 and is a reaction of "fairness to the taxpayer". This increase will allow taxpayers to offset some of the recent increase in gas cost. Any eligible mileage incurred prior to 9/1/05 is subject to the $.15 per mile rate.
