Texas High School's Tiger Theatre Company Presents An Evening of One-Act Comedies

Texarkana, TX – Texas High School’s Tiger Theatre Company will present an evening of one-act comedies on Thursday and Saturday, September 27 and 29 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. Shows will be in the John Thomas Theatre of the Sullivan Performing Arts Center, 3941 Summerhill Road.

Featured comedies are “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” by Don Zolidis and “Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit” by Jonathan Rand.

“The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” centers on two narrators attempting to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza. To make it more difficult, they attempt to combine them into one gigantic fable using Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and other more obscure stories like Lean Lisa and The Devil’s Grandmother.

“Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit” focuses on the fairy tale criminal justice system featuring characters from fairy tales and nursery rhymes who are represented by two separate yet equally ridiculous groups – the fairy tale police who investigate fairy tale crime and the fairy tale district attorneys who prosecute the fairy tale offenders.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the door and are $7 for adults and $5 for students. TISD employees receive free admission with badge.
