Texas High School Freshman Workshop to help Students & Parents Develop the Plan for High School and Beyond
Texarkana, TX – With the right plan, great things can happen! Whether exploring careers, preparing for education, or searching for extended learning opportunities, students and parents/guardians should learn how to build a strong foundation on which to develop a successful future.
The Texas High School College & Career Readiness Department will host a Freshman Workshop focusing on exploring colleges and careers for any and all 9th grade students and their parents/guardians. The workshop will be held on Monday, October 7 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Texas High School Math & Science Center Grand Foyer, 4001 Summerhill Road.
The workshop will address information on: virtual resources to assist students in developing post-secondary plans; career clusters and how various courses sequence in association with that given career; graduation requirements along with courses and assessments.
