TigerVision PSA Yields Financial Gain for Texas High School Project Celebration

Texarkana, TX – A public service announcement created by TigerVision students, Matthew Crawford, Sara Edwards and Vernicia Griffie earned Third Place and $600 for Texas High School’s Project Celebration.

The PSA contest, hosted by the Texas Department of Transportation, encouraged students from 11 area school districts to create a one-minute PSA on any traffic safety issue from driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol to speeding or any other safety issue relevant to school-aged drivers.

The TigerVision PSA “Distracted Driving” features an underage driver with two friends leaving a dance. Not only do you have a driver who has been drinking but who has elected to not buckle their seat and is distracted by texting and friends in the car. The end result is a crash and a factual message of “some messes you just can’t clean up.”

The TXDOT entry from TigerVision can be seen at www.tigervision.org.
