Texas High School Commercial Photography Students Enjoy Success in Third Floor Photo Society High School Shoot-Out

Texarkana, TX – Texas High School Commercial Photography students took some of the top honors, including Best of Show, during the 32nd Annual Third Floor Photo Society High School Shoot-Out sponsored by Texas A&M University – Commerce.

Over 1,200 images and 20 portfolios were entered this year from 16 high schools. Greg Milano, a distinguished TAMU-C alumni and professional photographer, served as judge. He shared, “There were many tough decisions to be made when judging this year’s contest. However, the images that stood out from the rest had a clean, simple vision that the photographer was able to articulate through their work, along with a high level of technical quality. That attention to detail and technical skill reveals a pride in one’s work that separates them from other photographers.”

Carlie Clem, senior, took Best of Show in the Color Category and First Place Sports in Black & White Advanced Division receiving a $1,500 Scholarship to TAMU-Commerce. She was also awarded an Honorable Mention in Sports Color Advanced Division.

Junior, Savannah Pritchard, received First Place in the Photojournalism Color Advanced Division, Third Place in the Open Black & White Advanced Division, Honorable Mention in Sports Color Advanced Division and Honorable Mention in Sports Black & White Advanced Division.

Kelsi Brinkmeyer, Junior, was awarded Honorable Mention in Open Black & White Advanced Division and Honorable Mention in Photojournalism Color Advanced Division.
