National Paul Laurence Dunbar High School Alumni Association's 18th Annual All-School Reunion to be held in Texarkana July 24-27
Texarkana, TX – The National Paul Laurence Dunbar High School Alumni Association will hold its 18th Annual All-School Reunion on July 24 – 27 in Texarkana, Texas.
The Association was organized in 1979 for the purpose of perpetuating the legacy of Dunbar High School, its administrators, faculty and graduates. The annual reunion is a time when Dunbar graduates come together from across America to fellowship, dine, dance, worship and pay tribute to those who have excelled and to those who have passed on. The national reunion is held every two years with every fourth year being held in Texarkana. The last reunion, in 2012, was hosted by the Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter.
The focus of the Texarkana Chapter is to help youth by serving as positive role models, tutors, counselors and by awarding an annual $1,000 scholarship to a local high school student. To date, $33,000 has been awarded in scholarships. The 2014 scholarship recipient is Texas High School’s Cortlandt Bursey-Reece.
