Texas High Cheer Squads Bring Home Top Awards from State Cheer Camp

Texarkana, TX – Texas High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheer squads were among top winners during the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Cheer Camp at University of Texas in Austin, TX. 

Squads brought home the UCA Leadership Award given to the team that exhibits the greatest leadership on and off the field.  Both teams also won the Game Day Championship, Camp Champs and Top Fight Song awards in their respective divisions.  Additionally, the Tiger Varsity Team won the Overall Camp Champs Top Team award. 

Cheer members - Maggie Coleman, Chasity Jefferson, Ashlee Martin, Autumn Jester, Lauren Carter, Kiara Douglas and Harli Kilgore - were selected as All-American Cheerleaders and Ashlee Martin was also received the Best Jumps Award. 

Autumn Jester, Caroline White, Rachel White, Maggie Coleman and Ashlee Martin were selected to try out for the 2015 Universal Cheerleaders Association staff.
