Virtual Challenge Meet a Success for Texas High School UIL Academic Team
Texarkana, TX – Texas High School UIL Academic Team recently participated in the first of four State Virtual Challenge Meets for the school year. In three events, five students successfully earned 13 individual and three team medals.
The State Virtual Challenge Meet brings together schools from all across Texas to compete in contests for Accounting, Calculator, Computer Science, Current Events, Literary Criticism, Mathematics, Number Sense, Science, Social Studies and Spelling.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS:
Current Events & Issues: David Mitchell – 13th Place (11th Grade) and 16th Place (5A). Coached by Amy Kemp.
Science: Austin Ryden – 18th Place (5A). Coached by Bob Harris.
Social Studies: Alex Markham – 3rd Place (5A); Haley Rogers – 4th Place (5A); Alex Markham – 4th Place (11th Grade); Haley Rogers – 13th Place (12th Grade); Alex Markham – 14th Place (Overall); Haley Rogers – 18th Place (Overall); Rachel Lewis – 20th Place (11th Grade). Coached by Chuck Zach.
TEAM AWARDS:
