Top Awards presented to Texas High School Commercial Photography Students during ATPI Winter Conference

Texarkana, TX – Texas High School Commercial Photography travelled to the University of Texas at Arlington on February 20 - 22 to attend the Association of Texas Photography Instructors Winter Conference. During the conference, students had the opportunity to participate in hands-on classes related to all types of photography and video and to compete in on-site contests.

 

The THS Commercial Photography program was awarded a new Canon 70D camera kit from Canon USA for their #2 ranking in the state of Texas.

Taking top individual awards were:
Israel Arias and Austin Hurley – First Place in Onsite Video Contest;
Kelsi Brinkmeyer – 2nd Place in Digital Imaging and 2nd Place in Cropped Contest;
Ashley Tyson – Honorable Mention for Environmental Self Portraits;
Rachel Lewis – Quarter Finalist in Cropped Contest.

Team Awards include:
2nd Place for School Portfolio – Team of Israel Arias, Kelsi Brinkmeyer, Alyssa Olalde, Ashley Tyson;
3rd Place for School Scavenger Hunt – Team of Brianna O’Shaugnessy, Misty Morriss, Sara Rogers.
