Texas Middle School Student Scientists Take Top Honors in East Texas Regional Science Fair; Two Advance to Exxon Mobile Science & Engineering Fair
Texarkana, TX – Texas Middle School student scientists were selected as category winners in the East Texas Regional Science Fair on February 29 in Kilgore, TX. An estimated 70 students from the area participated.
Madison Bowers was a First Place category winner in Junior Physical Science for her project “Udderly Amazing Glue.” Davis Miller was named Sixth Place category winner in Junior Physical Science for “How Clean is Your Water.”
Bower and Miller will now advance to the Exxon Mobil Texas Science & Engineering Fair in San Antonio, TX on March 27-29. They will also be able to enter their projects into Broadcam MASTERS, a national level middle school science and engineering fair competition.
Additionally, as part of the Water Environment Association of Texas & Texas Water Utilities Association competition, Ethan Yost received a First Place prize of $225 for his project “Gravity Water Filter” and Davis Miller took home Second Place prize of $200 with his project, “How Clean is Your Water.”
