Dr. Sandra Austin, Library Coordinator for TISD, Named Distinguished Educator
Texarkana, TX – Dr. Sandra Austin, Coordinator of Elementary and Middle School Library Services for Texarkana Independent School District, has been named a Renaissance Distinguished Educator, an honor reserved for educators who have achieved optimum student growth and are dedicated to helping all students learn, grow, and achieve.
Dr. Austin was nominated by Renaissance Learning, a Wisconsin Rapids, WI, based company that provides educators with deep insight into what students know, what they like and how they learn. The Renaissance Distinguished Educators Program recognizes outstanding educational leaders who have led students to success with data strategies and effective implementation of products designed to differentiate instruction and personalize student practice in reading and math.
In this role, Dr. Austin will serve as a source of inspiration to other educators. Renaissance Distinguished Educators share their expertise with teachers and education leaders beyond their classrooms, schools and districts. They speak at schools, host site visits and share their success stories and implementation strategies at conferences and events. Distinguished Educators also serve as part of a think tank for passionate and successful educational leaders who collaborate with peers to share ideas and resources and optimize student growth.
