Texarkana, TX – Tim Lambert, Texas Middle School Principal, has been selected as the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) Middle School Principal of the Year as well as the Texas representative for the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) Principal of the Year Award.

Lambert was one of twenty who had been selected as a Regional Middle School Principal of the Year in June 2018. He was then chosen as a Top Three Finalist for Middle School Principal of the Year in November 2018. School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within their regions. Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership.

Lambert became Principal of Texas Middle School in June 2013. Lambert served as Principal for Hughes Springs Elementary from 2002-2005, Special Education Director for the Cass County Cooperative from 2005-2008, Principal for Daingerfield High School from 2008-2011 and Principal of Atlanta High School from 2011-2013, where he was named the TASSP Region VIII High School Principal of the Year in 2013.

From staff and students to parents and the general community, TMS has great things happening each and every day because of them. I’m just lucky to be part of the team.”

As the State winner, Lambert will be recognized during the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) Midwinter Conference on January 28, 2019, as well as the TASSP Region 8 Meeting on April 28, 2019 and the TASSP Jostens Night of the Stars Awards Dinner and Summer Workshop General Session on June 11-12, 2019.
