Three Morriss Elementary Robotics Teams Awarded Top Five Placement in TCEA Competition; One Team Headed to State
Texarkana, TX – Three student teams from the Martha and Josh Morriss Mathematics & Engineering Elementary School competed in the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) Area 8 Intermediate Robotics Challenge on January 18 in Pittsburg, TX. One team will now move forward to the TCEA State Competition to be held in April 2019 in Austin, TX.

The team moving forward to the state competition is:
Robo Wizards – 2nd Place Intermediate Arena. Members include: Kellen Adcock, Lilian LaFors, Jadyn Weinstein, Jack Wulff.
Teams earning top placements:
India's H2O Water Problem – 3rd Place Intermediate Invention. Members include: Piper Cashatt and Mackenzie Wiley;
The Pet Entertainers – 5th Place Intermediate Invention. Members include: Abigail Gold, Ava Harrison and Riley Roberts.
TCEA is dedicated to advancing teaching and learning through the use of technology. It has played a vital role in increasing technology funding and access for Pre-K-16 schools for 38 years and supports educators in the field who are enhancing curriculum with digital tools.
