Tiger Marching Band Earns 1st Division Rating during Region IV UIL Marching Contest; Also Brings Home 7th Place Finish from Royse City Contest
Texarkana, TX – Texas High School Tiger Marching Band earned a 1st Division Rating from all judges during the Region IV UIL Marching Contest held in Mt. Pleasant, TX on October 15.
The judging panel included three Texas Music Adjudicator Association certified judges with ratings based upon the overall complete package of band performance, taking in consideration the components of Percussion, Color Guard, Brass, Woodwind, Instrumental and Marching. This rating now qualifies the band to move forward to the UIL Area Marching Contest which will be held on Saturday, October 26 at Mesquite Memorial Stadium in Mesquite, TX.
In other band news, the Tiger Band also earned a 7th Place finish during the Royse City Classic Marching Contest on Saturday, October 12 in Royse City, TX. Fifteen bands from 3A to 6A participated in the contest.
