Texas High School Business Professionals of America Students Earn Medals Named State Qualifiers during Leadership Conference
Texarkana, TX – Texas High School student members of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter recently participated in the Area I, Region III Leadership Conference held on January 19 at Heritage High School in Frisco, TX.
Five students were named State Qualifiers and will compete in the State competition February 27 – March 2 in Houston, TX. Two students earned State Alternate titles and one student received the Diplomat Torch Award. They are:
Nick Sehy – 1st Place State Qualifier – Economics Research Project
Chris Keith & Nick Sehy – 1st Place – Global Marketing Team
Jordan Stovall – 3rd Place – Systems Administration Using CISCO
Linette Westley – 3rd Place – Computer Network Technology
Keyerra Harfield & Breana Hayes – 3rd Place – Web Site Design Team
DIPLOMAT TORCH AWARD
Nick Sehy - This program frames and guides a BPA member’s leadership and service to their chapter and community. Students complete activities and must earn a minimum of 30 points in each of the seven Torch categories – Leadership; Service; Cooperation; Knowledge; Friendship; Love, Hope, Faith; and Patriotism.
