Four States Bandmasters Convention Clinic to be held at TISD

Texarkana, TX – TISD will host the Four States Bandmasters Convention & Clinic on Thursday, January 17 thru Saturday, January 19. An expected 225 students and 100 directors representing 50 schools from the four states area will be in attendance. Additionally, representatives from over 20 vendors will be featured in the exhibit area. The event will culminate in a concert series to be held in the John Thomas Theatre of the Sullivan Performing Arts Center, 3941 Summerhill Road.

The Four States Bandmasters Convention & Clinic brings together the musical abilities of area students who have been nominated to the Four States Honor Band by area band directors. Admission is FREE and the public is invited to attend.

Band conductors for the concert series are chosen by the Four States Bandmasters. This year’s conductors will be: Patrick Sheng, Conductor for McNeese State University (Four States Jazz Band); W.
