We encourage Parents/Guardians to pre-pay for all meals through the MySchoolBucks program. Through the MySchoolBucks program, you will be able to check your student's balance and make payments using a credit or debit card. Your student's ID number is required. When using MySchoolBucks, your payment may take up to 48 hours to clear.

Once money is deposited into the student's account and a purchase is made, the purchase will be deducted from the student's account balance. All money deposited into the student's account will be used for cafeteria purchases from the following serving lines: Main Meal Lines and All Snack Bar Lines.

TISD provides to each student not enrolled at a campus participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (Texas High School, Martha and Josh Morriss Mathematics & Engineering Elementary, and Waggoner Creek Elementary for the 2018-2019) an application for Free or Reduced-Price Meals. Additionally, applications are available at all TISD campuses throughout the year. Households that have difficulty in paying for school meals are encouraged to submit an application. Eligibility decisions are based on federally-established income and household size guidelines without regard to race, sex, color, national origin, age or disability. TISD maintains strict confidentiality regarding students participating in the program.

For more information, contact our Child Nutrition Department at 903.792.2231 ext. 1978. Please remember that upon submitting a new application for free or reduced-price meals, your child must pay full price for meals until which time the application is approved. This process could take up to ten (10) days.

TISD offers free lunch and breakfast to students at 10 campuses (Paul Laurence Dunbar Early Education Center, Theron Jones Early Literacy Center, Highland Park Elementary, Nash Elementary, Spring Lake Park Elementary, Wake Village Elementary, Westlawn Elementary, Texas Middle School, The Sixth Grade Center at Texas Middle School, and Options Academic Alternative High School) in the district for the 2018-2019 school year through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

This push to expand the free lunch program is just the latest step to ensure students don't go hungry. Our main goal is to ensure students eat healthy meals so they can stay focused on learning throughout the school day.

*Please note that there will still be a charge for any food not part of the reimbursable meals, such as a la carte and snack items.
