Texarkana Independent School District has named Rick Sandlin, former Principal of Wake Village Elementary and senior TISD administrator, as the Project Manager/Principal for the new Math & Engineering Elementary School.

“Rick is a distinguished member of the Tiger Family, a proven and experienced principal and the best administrator to lead TISD in the development of our engineering and mathematics elementary school,” commented Dr. Larry Sullivan, Superintendent. “With over twenty-six years in education, Rick brings wisdom and a strong desire for the educational betterment of children that will serve as an asset for students, parents and faculty of our new elementary school,” he continued.

During the first two years of the development of this new campus Mr. Sandlin will report directly to Dr. Sullivan and serve as a member of the senior leadership team for TISD.
