Requirements

Nature and Requirements of Courses

General Educational Devlopment (GED)

  1. Must be at least seventeen (17) years of age. Seventeen (17) year olds must bring a parent or guardian and a school withdrawal form from their last school attended.
  2. Must take an entrance test to determine grade level in reading, mathematics, and language.
  3. No tuition or fees are charged.
Day or evening classes are held at various times and at various sites listed on this website.

English As A Second Language (ESL)

  1. Must be at least seventeen (17) years of age. Seventeen (17) year olds must bring a parent or guardian and a school withdrawal form from their last school attended.
  2. Must be a resident of Texas or Arkansas.
  3. Must take a test to determine grade level.
  4. No tuition or fees are charged.
Day or evening classes are held at various times and at various sites listed on this website.

Review Courses

  1. Must be at least seventeen (17) years of age. Seventeen (17) year olds must bring a parent or guardian and a school withdrawal form from their last school attended.
  2. Must take an entrance test to determine grade level in reading, mathematics, and language.
  3. A $10 fee is charged.
Day or evening classes are held at various times and at various sites listed on this website.

Individualized, self-paced instruction is offered for review of English and mathematics, to take the Licensed Vocational Nursing exam, to study for the Texas Assessment of Academic Skills (TAAS), the Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE), the Texas Academic Skills Program (TASP), and the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). These courses may be taken at any cooperative location at the times indicated on this website.
