TISD PARTNERS IN EDUCATION

The increasingly complex problems facing students today require the collaborative efforts of schools, parents, community, and business. Future qualities of life rest on the next generation of thinkers and creative problem solvers. The success of business depends on a trained work force and educated, responsive leaders. Together, business and education have the expertise and commitment to make a real difference.

Founded in 1998, the TISD Partners in Education Program has grown to include over 150 businesses and organizations in the Texarkana area. These groups support our schools with incentives, mentoring, tutoring, volunteer work, and financial assistance.

Some of these area groups have provided information which students will find helpful in planning their careers. On the following pages, these groups are listed under the appropriate career concentration.

Job related tuition reimbursement is provided for one course plus books per semester.
