Texarkana ISD Care Fund

• The Board includes representatives from across the district:
  • Three (3) members from Administration
  • Three (3) members from Operations
  • Three (3) Paraprofessional representatives
  • One (1) Teacher representative from each campus
     
• Members are appointed by supervisors and administrators.
• Each Board member serves for one year and may be reappointed.
• Board officers include a President and Secretary elected by majority vote.
• The Treasurer and Public Relations Chair are permanent administrative positions approved by the Board.
• Each member has one vote on all decisions.

• Applications are reviewed by the TISD Care Fund Board of Directors.
• Approval requires a three-fourths (¾) vote of the Board.
• Maximum grant: $500 per request.
• Employees may receive assistance no more than twice per year with at least six months between requests.
• Grants cannot exceed the current Care Fund balance.
• Campus/department representatives on the Board notify applicants of the final decision.

The Care Fund is built by employees, for employees. It demonstrates what it truly means to be a Tiger, supporting one another through every season and helping fellow staff in times of unexpected need.
