The Innovative Educator Grant Program Application period is now open for the 2024 - 2025 school year. . Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded to individual teacher-initiated programs or projects.  Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to campus teams, departments, and district-initiated programs or projects.  The number of awards will depend on funds available from TISDEF. We strongly encourage you to apply!

Below you will find the Grant Application & Guidelines in a .pdf and word document. Contact Shawn Edmonds at shawn.edmonds@txkisd.net if you want the application in a Google doc format.   Deadline for grant submission is Friday, October 25.  Grants will then be submitted to the Grant Review Committee and announcement of grant recipients will be in early December 2024.  This announcement will culminate with celebration with the Texarkana ISD Education Foundation and grant winners. 

The Grant Guidelines provide information on who is eligible to receive a grant, what proposals will be eligible, the amounts that will be awarded and selection criteria.  Please review these guidelines carefully and create your proposals accordingly.  Remember, you must submit your grant application to Shawn Edmonds at shawn.edmonds@txkisd.net  AND deliver a hard copy of the grant application with original signatures to Shawn Edmonds at the district’s administrative office. 

 All approved funds will be available beginning in the Spring 2025 semester.
