School Health Advisory Council (SHAC)
The mission of Texarkana Independent School District School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is to make recommendations to the TISD Board of Trustees so that all children in within the District will have the opportunity to develop healthy bodies and minds through appropriate health and physical education, proper nutritional practices and modeling of good health behaviors.
As parents, you deserve to weigh in on the school district's decisions that impact the health and well-being of your children, especially when those choices are closely linked to their grades and their future success. Want to help make a difference for your child, and every child?
