We are committed to student and staff safety.
TISD employs 9 full time police officers, along with 4 full time security guards. All campuses and buildings have AI-Phones for district personnel to identify individuals wishing to enter a campus or building. Raptor Systems require all visitors to scan their driver's licencse in campus offices before access to students or staff.
With the passage of the 2022 Bond, TISD continues to complete security upgrades across the district. These include additional fencing, access control, security cameras, and A-Phones.
As a district, Texarkana ISD will continue to make safe and secure learning environments the top priority. Each campus has comprehensive safety protocols that include access control to all campuses and buildings, security cameras, A-Phones and fencing. As we continue to evaluate our current systems and protocols, we have had many conversations with our stakeholders regarding additional measures that could further support our efforts.
TISD School Safety & Security Committee
is a working group of diverse individuals that serves the members of our school district by helping create and maintain a safe and secure school climate and culture for all staff and students.
The next regular meeting of the Texarkana Independent School District (TISD) Safety and Security Committee will be held on
