At Waggoner Creek Tiger Learning Center, our Pre-Kindergarten program is meticulously designed to cater to the developmental needs and curiosities of young learners aged three and four. Our curriculum is built on a foundation of proven educational strategies and tailored learning approaches that foster academic skills, personal growth, and a love for learning in every child.
Comprehensive Learning and Development
Pre K 3: Investigators Club
For our three-year-olds, the Investigators Club offers an exciting first step into the world of learning. This program encourages exploration and inquiry, helping children develop cognitive, social, and fine motor skills through interactive and engaging activities.
Pre K 4: Diverse Curriculum
Our four-year-olds benefit from a diverse range of educational resources, including Digg, Frog Street, and Handwriting Without Tears. This blend ensures a holistic approach to early education, encompassing essential academic skills, creative expression, and physical coordination.
Consistent Evaluation and Individualized Support
CLI Engage Assessments
Both age groups participate in CLI Engage assessments at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year. These assessments help us track each child’s progress and understand their individual learning needs. Based on these insights, we develop personalized intervention plans to address any learning gaps, ensuring that every child is supported in their educational journey.
Leadership and Collaboration
Leader in Me
Our curriculum incorporates the Leader in Me program, which instills leadership qualities from a young age. Through this program, children learn about responsibility, goal setting, and the importance of teamwork, which are crucial skills for lifelong success.
Kagan Strategies
We also use Kagan’s cooperative learning strategies to enhance classroom interaction and foster a supportive learning environment. These strategies promote active engagement, ensuring that children learn from each other while enhancing their social skills.
