TISD Board of Trustees Appoint Ben Renner as Principal of Texas High School
Texarkana, TX-During a called meeting, the Texarkana ISD Board of Trustees appointed Ben Renner as the new Principal of Texas High School. He currently serves as Principal of Cleburne High School in the Cleburne Independent School District.
Renner joins the Tiger Family with over 20 years of secondary administrative experience, with the previous eight years serving as principal at both the middle and high school level. He has served as Principal of Cleburne High School since 2019.
TISD Superintendent Dr. Doug Brubaker said, “We were impressed with his commitment to student success, innovative ideas, and his collaborative approach to leadership. We believe that Mr. Renner will be an excellent addition to Texarkana ISD and will help us to continue to grow and thrive as a district.”
Renner holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policies from the University of Texas in Arlington.
Renner replaces Patti O’Bannon, who is retiring. He will officially begin with TISD on July 1, 2023.
