Texas High School Celebrates 13 Tiger Athletes on Winter Signing Day

Texarkana, TX —Texas High School proudly celebrated the remarkable achievements of 13 outstanding
student-athletes during the school’s Winter Signing Day ceremony held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
The event, full of pride and excitement, marked an important milestone as these athletes officially signed
their National Letters of Intent to continue both their athletic and academic journeys at colleges and
universities across the region.

Surrounded by supportive family members, friends, coaches, and teammates, the student-athletes,
representing baseball, basketball, football, and swimming, officially signed their letters of intent. This
moment highlighted their dedication, hard work, and perseverance in the classroom, on the field, and in
the pool.

Coach Gerry Stanford, TISD Athletic Director, expressed pride in the student-athletes, saying, “We are
excited to celebrate these 13 Tiger athletes as they take the next step in their academic and athletic
careers. This group represents the dedication, talent, and character that define our programs. Their hard
work, leadership, and commitment to excellence, both on and off the field, set the standard for future
generations of Texas High athletes.”

The Winter Signing Day ceremony included heartfelt speeches, family celebrations, and the symbolic
signing that represents years of perseverance, commitment, and athletic achievement. This event
underscores Texas High School’s dedication to developing student-athletes who excel in academics,
athletics, and character.
